Ralph Lauren ~Librarian

Ralph Lauren, born Ralph Lifshitz in the Bronx NY on October 14, 1939, is a notable American fashion designer and business executive. He is most notable for his Polo Ralph Lauren clothing brand.

Lauren, along with many other Librarians, is also well known as a collector of classic automobiles. His cars have won in shows at the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance multiple times. His collection was recently displayed at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. He owns a Ferrari 250 GTO, a McLaren F1 GTR LM, and, more recently, a Bugatti Veyron among others. {Wikipedia}

I recently became a fan of the show Gossip Girl because I L-O-V-E the fashion and shots of Manhattan. However, I am quite baffled to find out she will be on the cover of Vogue's February 2009 issue. Should we not have waited at least one more season? I guess this is what happens during a RECESSION, we need to reach another group of people to up our sales. I have a better idea. Maybe the American Vogue can take a hint from Italians and dedicate an issue to another ethnic fashion minority... Asians? Latinos? I called it.
