If it looked like an egg she bought it. Her friends and family related this hobby to the fact that she was born on Easter Sunday. According to Suzette, each egg tells a story. There's one that Chris bought her a week before she died and then there's one Selena bought at Universal City in Los Angeles. All of the eggs are on display in their original cases at the Q-Production's Selena Museum. In the display case, they're arranged exactly the way they were in Selena's living room.

Faberge egg- brief history: Easter eggs made by Peter Carl Faberg for the Russian Tsars between 1885 and 1917. The eggs are made of precious metals or hard stones decorated with combinations of enamel and gem stones. The term "Faberg Egg"' has become a synonym of luxury and the eggs are regarded as masterpieces of the jeweler's art. Under one hundred eggs were produced and only approx fifty-seven eggs have survived. {Wikipedia}

Selena's last performances took place at the Houston Texas Astrodome a month before she was murdered

"The life of an artist isn't all glamorous. It's a lot of work. A lot of people think it's very easy. They think you always stay in good hotels, you buy good things, but it's not like that. You have to work hard like everybody else."
